Introduction
We Express Our Greetings
When there were still a few days left before the publication of this book, some news ran as fire through our Palestinian veins. Continuously, our hearts seemed to paralyze in the middle of tears and smiles, homesickness and joy. There was an important reason, we recently learnt that our National Leadership, P.L.O., by means of its Palestinian National Council (Parliament), declared – in Algeria - the Palestine State independence over our occupied lands.
Our smiles dried tears, while homesickness and joy joined together in order to give free rein to our happiness.
Keeping a drop of sadness, since we know that there is still a long way to cover and a lot of our blood to shed, in the sound of INTIFADA we go on placing the hope of a freedom which is perceived, the hope of people who create their own destiny, the hope of sorrow for our martyrs, the hope of the crying of the newly born, the hope of the poet’s singing and the hope of the echo of the words of our leader Yasser Arafat, sounding deeper and becoming true... “War broke out in Palestine, however peace will originate in Palestine”.
